Manna Bistro & Bakery of Centreville, VA is a favorite Ethiopian restaurant for both vegans and meat lovers with its authentic Ethiopian food. All of our foods are prepared with imported Ethiopian spices blended daily. Our produce is always fresh and our sauces are prepared as ordered. The friendly staff and warm decor makes Manna the perfect place to relax with family and friends. Our injera, a delicious sourdough Ethiopian flat bread that you wrap your food with, makes Manna a favorite with kids, where it’s a treat to “eat with your hands” (but we also have silverware, if you prefer!)
Our family-oriented company started its journey in 2002 as Mena Bakery and Carry out in Springfield, VA. Manna Bistro & Bakery is family-owned and operated right here in Centreville. We’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are the best, and come with a personal touch.
Our chefs prepare every dish with care to ensure our customers enjoy the best dining experience possible. Casual, everyday style food made from fresh, natural ingredients from our farm Mena Farm (www.menafarm.homestead.com) makes our menu reminiscent of Mom's home cooking.
We take pride in our wide selection of quality bakery products. All of the bakery items are fresh from the oven. What makes us unique is that we bake our own bread. Whole wheat bread, gluten free bread, are our quality products and served to our customers right away.
NEW TO ETHIOPIAN CUISINE?
Ethiopian meals are traditionally served on a large, round platter of sour injera bread topped with various cooked vegetables, a hard-boiled egg, and stewed beef, chicken, or lamb. It is eaten with the hands by tearing off pieces from extra injera bread and scooping up the toppings. Just ask, and we’ll show you how!
We also serve Mediterranean and American style paninis, sandwiches, cappuccino, and bakery items.
We are very accommodating to your needs. You can choose from a variety of foods that are vegetarian, and spicy or not spicy. Pita bread can be substituted for the traditional Ethiopian sour injera bread.
We are wheelchair accessible.

Lovely new restaurant, and a welcome addition - adding some nice variety to the Centreville area dining scene. It is not clear to outsiders that this is an Ethiopian restaurant; additional signage would be helpful. The owners were very gracious. We are glad we found this place!

The service was excellent. It was almost like eating in someone's home. Our waitress explained the menu beautifully and made some recommendations for our table. The food was very good, and the Ethiopean eating experience is always fun to share with friends and family. Two people in our group had never eaten at an Ethiopean restaurant before and really enjoyed it. Sharing platters encouraged lively conversation, too. And it was a great value. All four adults at our table plan to return to Manna again in the future. It was wonderful.

Excellent food, both very tasty and healthy. Service was pleasant, friendly and non-intrusive. Atmosphere was comfortable and tasteful. All in all, a great experience for a very low price (even before the Groupon - my son and I shared a meal, big enough to leave both of us quite full, for $13.99).

The only thing better than the food was the owner. She is a lovely person.

I had not had any Ethiopian food except for doro wat in the past. I was so happy that I gave Manna Bistrow and Bakery a try. Everything was delicious and the staff was helpful. There was a little wait to get my order but it was worth it. Looking forward to going back in the near future.

The restaaurant is aromatic with spices as soon as you enter it! The menu has a great selection of meat and vegetarian dishes. I do not eat meat but my husband does. They allowed us to split the meals so that we had both selections, which they didn't have to do. The maeal was excellent! They have homemade honey wine. We liked it so much that we bought another bottle for the holidays! This place is a hit!
